Video diary: A scary ride in the skies above Pokhara!

I signed up for a ride in an ultralight aircraft during our visit to Pokhara, in Nepal. And it was one of the scariest things I’ve ever experienced!

We visited Nepal over New Year’s a few years ago, spending time in Pokhara and Kathmandu. While we were in Pokhara, we noticed a few tiny aircraft—pretty much just tricycles with wings—flying around over the city. I’d always wanted to do a flight in one of those, ever since I’d seen videos of them flying over the Masai Mara in Kenya, so I decided to give it a shot.

I’ve never been so scared in my entire life! Here’s a short video of that terrifying ultralight flight over Pokhara.
